Our Class

Writing sensual love poetry is more about the senses and less about the sex, though of course the two can intertwine at the will of the writer/author and the poem or piece of writing can become anything we wish it to be.

Sensuality is to be “sense-driven”….to live on the edge of awareness. When we are aware, we notice the shape of our loved ones words, the sibilance of sound as they speak. We notice the way their hands turn the air, the way their hair catches the sun…or our eye.

Come and join us for two days of soaking in the ambiance of love…romantic love, spiritual love, selfish love… bitter and hurtful love… redemptive and forgiving love.

We will be exploring what constitutes a good poem, learning the use of metaphor to expand an image or idea, using templates to create your own personal sensual love poems, discussion, writing exercises to stir the senses, opposites attract exercises, writing a love letter to one’s self, and other interesting love tips to stir the heart and soul and bring us into union with someone real or imaginary, someone in the past or from our future.

Imagination is the key. Put love in the air!
